HyFin Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack

The HyFin® Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack by North American Rescue is engineered to effectively manage open or tension pneumothorax resulting from penetrating chest injuries. Each pack contains two individually wrapped seals—ideal for treating both entry and exit wounds or keeping one in reserve until needed.

Each chest seal incorporates three one-way vent channels that help stop air from entering the chest cavity during inhalation while allowing trapped air to escape on exhalation. Even in the event that two vents become blocked, the third is designed to continue functioning, maintaining consistent pressure relief. The vent channels are also built to allow blood to drain away from the wound site.

Created for demanding environments, the chest seals utilize an advanced adhesive that securely sticks to skin challenged by blood, sweat, body hair, or other contaminants—ensuring a reliable seal when it matters most. The rugged twin-foil packaging is compact and easy to tear open, and includes a gauze pad to clean the wound before application. A large red pull tab allows quick, one-step application, while the clear backing provides optimal placement and conformance to the casualty’s chest.
