Our Team

Brian Graddon - Cofounder of True Rescue

Brian Graddon - CEO

Brian graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Business/Finance prior to moving south to San Diego. After a brief stint in finance, Brian shifted gears to become a Firefighter Paramedic, going on to work as a SWAT Medic, Engineer, and Captain over a 15-year span. As a Firefighter and SWAT Medic, Brian gained first hand experience in the life-saving application of tourniquets, hemostatic gauze, chest seals and other bleeding control products needed for traumatic incidents ranging from shootings and stabbings, to industrial and household accidents. This experience cultivated a mission to spread awareness, and to place these easy-to-use but lifesaving tools into the hands of lay responders everywhere. In his off-time Brian stays busy raising 3 teenage daughters with his wife Elizabeth, and keeping active with surfing, rock climbing, and mountain biking.

Paul McSweeney - VP of Operations, True Rescue

Paul graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Scientific and Technical Communications and Minor in Applied Econ. He has spent most of his career developing new products, including: design, manufacturing, sourcing and supply chain management. Paul became interested in the safety industry given his own heart condition that is serious enough to warrant an implanted cardiac defibrillator. He saw gaps in high-quality low-cost tools for laymen and professional responders in the first aid and bleeding control space and an opportunity to help fill these. When Paul is or isn't working you can commonly find him traveling around the world in search of new production partners and authentic restaurants.
